Why Jewelry Is the New Power Player in Luxury Fashion

CBX Vibe

When it comes to luxury fashion items, everyone has their poison. Some go for leather bags and clothes while others prefer statement jewelry pieces. However, over the years, the luxury market has been on a downturn and fashion has been the most hard-hit sector. Even though the luxury industry lost 50 million customers in 2024 and only 33% had registered any substantial growth, things are not the same in the jewelry sector. In fact, the jewelry's average market growth is 8% while that for fashion is 3%.

Bad Bunny Is Tuning Up Puerto Rico’s Tourism One Concert At A Time

CBX Vibe:

Puerto Rico has been on the receiving end with its citizens deserting the island due to its high cost of living. Joining in the battle to keep Puerto Ricans from losing their cultural identity is Bad Bunny, who has often addressed these themes in some of his songs, namely Un Verano Sin Ti and Debí Tirar Más Fotos. This time around, he's taken a step further to revive interest in his country's landscapes and cultures by hosting a 30-day residency on the island. Let's just say that it is doing wonders for Puerto Rico's economy, but by how much, you ask?

College Costs Are Rising And It’s Not Just Inflation’s Fault

CBX Vibe:

Higher education tuition has doubled in the last 20 years, with some institutions today hitting the $100,000 mark for a four-year degree. Today’s U.S. students can expect to pay an average of $30,884 for tuition, fees, and accommodation over a four-year degree. These escalating costs have discouraged many prospective students from taking the leap into academia, as well as those experiencing waves of ballooning debt. However, it’s not only students who feel the pinch. As costs rise, higher education institutions and communities feel it, too.

The Future Of AI Travel: More Personalization, Bigger Privacy Questions

CBX Vibe:

The travel industry is growing at a rapid pace, yet mainstream data collection overlooks many individuals—particularly the Black community. Synthetic data enters the conversation as a much-needed disruptor, generating artificially created but realistic data that developers can utilize to overcome challenges related to limited organic data. This data could drive the next wave of AI innovation with a more inclusive and diverse representation. Curating personalized travel solutions that cater to a broader range of experiences and needs will address current data gaps.

Exclusivity Is No Longer Enough In The Luxury Market

CBX Vibe:

The luxury industry has been one of the hard-hit sectors losing 50 million customers in 2024. This is a sharp decline that hasn't been registered in the last two decades, not even the pandemic period sunk this low. There's a struggle to remain profitable and exclusive but it is proving difficult especially with the new generation of customers.
